Imbabura is the first true level I created within Unreal Engine 4, based off of the surrounding area of the town in Ecuador.

Created as an FPS level, it adheres to the three lane system with varying elevation and density while using the inspiration to differentiate.

It was built using free and demo level assets (from the Unreal Engine marketplace), along with my own created textures such as the water and ground.

Creating the level was an interesting mix of how far I could push the engine (entity wise) and which features or processing methods do I need to change to make it work efficiently.

I was pleased with the overall outcome of the level, however if I could change anything I would definitely go for a more realistic representation of water. I created it with a highly reflective, moving texture on top of a solid landscape layer, however a mixture of transparent layers with edge collision detection would have been the ideal result.
